Maple Lodge is a dog friendly holiday cabin in Snowdonia and is set within 4.5 acres of private woodland and only 300 metres from the start of The Watkin Path to the top of Snowdon, as well as opposite one of the most beautiful rivers in North Wales and between Lake Dinas and Lake Gwynant, our self-catering cottage accommodation is the ideal base from which to explore Snowdonia with its spectacular scenery and fascinating mix of mountains, lakes, woodland and streams.
Beddgelert
Beddgelert is undoubtedly Snowdonia's loveliest mountain village. And will make for the perfect dogs allowed holiday in Snowdonia. Its stone built dwellings, inns and hotels are surrounded by the finest scenery in North Wales. Snowdon, the highest peak in England and Wales, dominates the skyline a few miles to the north.
The beautiful Aberglaslyn Pass and the Nant Gwynant valley are near-neighbours. Wooded vales, rocky slopes and mountain lakes fill the surrounding countryside.
The village, in keeping with its location in the Snowdonia National Park, is picturesque and unspoilt. Small and friendly, it boasts a full range of amenities. These include a local post office, small grocery store, gift shops, restaurants, child and dog friendly pubs, tourist information centre and and ice cream shop.
There's a long tradition of hospitality in these parts - after all, Beddgelert has been welcoming visitors for hundreds of years.
Maple Lodge - 2 Berth Log Cabin
This traditionally styled log cabin set in the breath taking Snowdonia national park offers everything you will need to ensure you have a relaxing and comfortable stay.
The living/dining area has a fully fitted kitchen including electric cooker, fridge and kettle. It has a comfortable sofa, coffee table and freeview television for your enjoyment.
Both the living and bedroom areas are warmed via electric wall heaters. The bathroom features a powerful electric shower, wash basin, toilet and heated towel rail.
Internally the cabin is fully timber clad completing that cosy atmosphere for you and dogs whilst on your dogs allowed holidays in North Wales.
Outside there is a decking area with patio set to relax after a day out and take in the stunning views of the Nantgwynant valley.
Dogs are welcome and charged at £3 per dog per night.

We run activities/courses for adults and children
Aberglaslyn is fully AALS (Adventure Activities Licensing Scheme) licensed to take young people under the age of 18.
Aberglaslyn is owned by Leicestershire County Council.
Aberglaslyn is run by qualified teachers.
All staff are qualified with the appropriate NGB (National Governing Body) awards
A half day would usually allow one activity and a full day would allow up to three activities depending on which activities were required and to what sort of depth the group would want the activities to be run. If there were two groups
Costs include all instruction, equipment and transport. We can pick up groups from Bryn Dinas if required.
With each group of people under the age of 18 we need on accompanying adult. This person would come free if there were five or more young people.
Our maximum group size is 12 plus one accompanying adult. If more people wanted to come we would need to run two groups, thus if 13 young (under 18) people wanted to come it would be two groups one of 6 and one of 7, each with an accompanying adult.
Activities include
canoeing, kayaking, kayak surfing, improvised rafting, climbing, bouldering, mountaineering, abseiling, gorge tumbling, canyoning, orienteering, beach scrambling and rock pooling, coasteering, assault course, navigation skills and training, guided walks up Snowdon and other mountains in Snowdonia, camping, Duke of Edinburgh training and monitoring, NGB qualifications (eg summer mountain leader courses, single pitch award). Ecology field work and environmental art.
